The Hawckraig Pier is a personal work on landscape photography.
During my trip in Scotland I spent some time in this beautiful location in Aberdour. The old pier is really an amazing subject and it looked to me as a time gate connecting the super-real presence of the restless waves with the stillness of the past frozen into the old wooden structure. I should mention the hotel located right in front of the pier playing a role in building the magic atmosphere however.

Nel mio ultimo viaggio in Scozia ho passato qualche giorno in questo meraviglioso posto in Aberdour di fronte ad Edinburgo. Il vecchio pontile mi è parso subito un soggetto stupendo e mi è apparso come un punto di contatto tra il presente super fluido delle instancabili onde ed il passato congelato nella vecchia struttura di legno. Indubbiamente contribuisce al fascino magico del posto anche la possibilità di alloggiare al Forth View Hotel di fronte al pontile da cui ci si può godere lo spettacolo del Firth of Forth a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte.
