Once again I had the pleasure to work with Danny on a photoshoot for Lacertosus Trainig Equipment.
Shooting style:
My workflow is sustained by a longtime tested lighting scheme that allows me considerable freedom in picking my camera angles. Once the pre-light work is checked on a given set, I like capturing real actions during authentic workout.
Working with Danny definitely adds up to the scene as he masters the role self-interpreting himself with great intensity.
I love shooting close ups that visually express the athletic power, focusing on details and making them pop.
Framing the action is indeed essential to visual language. This is where a flexible lighting diagram pays off letting me some extra room in switching angles from front to side, from low to mid height.
Lacertosus showroom seems to be a perfect location for the shoot. Dark painted walls and roof windows are friends to light occlusion yet providing a  nice room tone to blend in.
During recovery breaks the hunting is open for one of my favorite portraiture genre.
Capturing the essence:
I like including some super close ups as they show the essence of the athlete's feeling, truly connecting with his determination and strength.
Thanks for watching.
